These terms apply to workshop tickets and gift vouchers bought on purebaking.at from Pure Baking e.U. (Pure Baking Vienna). Private chef bookings, kids’ birthday parties and private events are arranged individually, and we’ll agree the terms with you in writing when you book.
No 14-day right of withdrawal
When you buy online, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from the contract. This right does not apply to our workshops: they are leisure activities booked for a specific date and time, and Austrian law excludes such services from the right of withdrawal (§ 18 Abs. 1 Z 10 FAGG). Instead, you can cancel or switch your booking as described below.
If you need to cancel
- 14 days or more before the workshop: full refund.
- 7 to 13 days before: 50% refund, or you can move to another date for free (see below).
- Less than 7 days before, or if you don’t show up: no refund.
In every case you can send someone else in your place at no charge. Just email us their name before the workshop.
Switching to another date or session
You can switch to another date, or between the German and English session, for free up to 7 days before your workshop, as long as there’s space. You can also switch to a different workshop: if it costs more, you pay the difference; if it costs less, we refund the difference. You can switch once per booking.
If we cancel
Each workshop needs a minimum number of participants to go ahead. If not enough people book, we’ll let you know at least 5 days before the date. We may also have to cancel at short notice because of illness or something outside our control. If we cancel for any reason, you can choose between a full refund and a free place on another available date or in another workshop of the same price. We don’t cover other costs, such as travel, unless we caused the cancellation intentionally or through gross negligence.
Changes to the venue
Our workshops take place at partner studios in Vienna. If we need to move a workshop to a different studio, we’ll tell you as early as possible. If the new location doesn’t work for you, you’ll get a full refund.
Allergies and dietary needs
Please tell us about any allergies or dietary needs when you book, or by email before the workshop. We’ll do our best to adapt, but our workshops take place in shared kitchens that handle common allergens such as nuts, gluten, eggs and dairy, so we can’t guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Children
Children at family workshops must be accompanied by a participating adult, who is responsible for them throughout the workshop.
Arriving late
Please arrive on time. If you arrive late, we can’t repeat the steps you missed, and there’s no refund for the time lost.
Photos and videos
We sometimes take photos and videos during workshops. At the start of each workshop we ask for your written consent. If you don’t want to appear, just say so and we won’t use any footage that shows you.

Email us at alex@purebaking.at with your order number. Refunds are made to the payment method you used.
Gift vouchers
Using a voucher
You can use our gift vouchers for workshops booked on purebaking.at, and for private chef dinners, kids’ birthday parties and private events. For workshops, enter the code at checkout. For everything else, give us the code when you book and we’ll take the amount off your invoice.
If the booking costs less than the voucher, the rest stays on the code for next time. If it costs more, you pay the difference. Vouchers don’t expire and can’t be exchanged for cash.
Getting your voucher
We email you the voucher code right after payment. If you’d like a printed version, email us and we’ll send you a PDF. If you lose the code, send us your order number and we’ll send it again.
Your right to withdraw
You can withdraw from buying a voucher within 14 days of purchase, as long as it hasn’t been used. You don’t need to give a reason. Just email alex@purebaking.at. You can use the form below, but you don’t have to. We refund the full amount within 14 days, to the payment method you used.
Cancelling a booking you paid with a voucher
The cancellation rules for that booking apply. Any refund goes back onto your voucher.
